WHO WE ARE
The idea of setting up this association was driven by the fact that we are daily in contact with SMA patients and their issues. We were and are still impressed by the little that is known about this disease, even if the number of SMA patients is very high. Hence, we aim at increasing public awareness about SMA. We want to show what is SMA and what it means to SMA patients.
Our main aim is to collect donations to help directly SMA patients and their families. Donations will help to make their daily life smoother, for example providing them with essential living aids, that very often are used in hospitals and clinics. Getting this kind of medical devices is not trivial for a private citizen and very often families cannot afford them.
